The narrow-sense heritability and expected selection response are very important to be recognized in the F2 population of maize determine character selected. This study aimed estimate narrow-senseheritability quantitative characters population. experimental method used this was field experiments on dry land using pumping wells for irrigation. conducted from April October 2022 Amor-Amor Hamlet, Gumantar village, North Lombok district. experiment carried out two growing seasons; namely: first season establish kinship with NC1 second test results crosses by a Randomized Block Design (RBD). number treatments 105; derived 35 male parents. Each treatment replicated 2 times, so there were 210 units. Data analyzed analysis variance (ANOVA); then calculation narrow sense expectations conducted. showed that all observed low, while biomass weight per plant high; Plant height, leaf angle, cob moderate other low. Fresh can as criterion improving stay-green character. Yield improved through enhancing plant.
